About me – Welcome to maakirasoise.com. I am Vandana, a working woman and mother of two kids. i started cooking at the age of 16-17. i learnt basics of cooking from my mother. i love to experiment in cooking and developed many of my recipes by experimenting.
When I was in college I usually share my lunchbox with my friends and they always appreciated the food which my mother prepared . I got married in 1998 .My first day of cooking in in laws house left a great impression. My husband, in laws and now my kids have always appreciated my skill of cooking They never forget to praise me in front of guests. This encouraged me and i started trying new recipes from magazines and news papers.
I had a habit of collecting news paper cuttings regarding food and recipes. i always prefer home cooked food with fresh ingredients which are easily available. i do not like to use any processed/ packaged food items like ready made purees, ginger-garlic paste, pickles etc. in my cooking. i always prepare fresh spices paste for any curry or dal. And even now i use mortar and pestle in my kitchen for the shake of taste.
I always wanted to do something in the field of cooking and suddenly a thought struck in my mind why not to start my own food blog and here I am. i did not know A,B,C… of website designing. i kept on reading about blog designing and blogging and my husband and daughter encouraged me saying that beginning is always a difficult part. Since my father and mother have a rural background I had many opportunities to know village life and food closely. In this blog I have shared the recipes which were prepared in my village at many occasions alongth with all other recipes.
